Steps to register in TRACES:
Step 1:
- Go to the “Register as New User” tab.
- Choose “Deductor” as the user type.
- Click “Proceed.”
Step 2: Provide TAN of the deductor, enter “Verification code,” and click on “Proceed.”
Step 3: Enter the token number from the Regular (Original) Statement and the CIN/BIN and PAN for the Financial year, QuarQuarterd Form Type displayed.
A token number indicates the following details about the challan (CIN): Challan amount, Challan date, BSR code, and CD record number (which is optional). In the relevant Statement, the government deductor enters only the Date of Deposit and Transfer Voucher amount. It is recommended to enter PAN details with a maximum of three distinct PANs and corresponding amounts. If there are less than three combinations, the first two or one must be entered (if there are less than three combinations).
Step 4: KYC information details are verified, and the electronic authentication code is generated. The code remains valid for one calendar day, one financial year, and one quarQuarterthe current financial year. In addition to codes and TANs, the name and address of the deductor will also need to be updated.
If the deductor and authorizer are the same individuals, the deductor’s PAN is the same as the authorized individual’s PAN. If either is different, then neither will be relevant. Now you will be able to create an account by providing your User ID and Password.
Step 5: The confirmation page will appear. Check the details once. By clicking on “Edit,” you can modify the details, and by clicking “Confirm,” you can continue with the registration process.
Step 6: Once the registration process has been completed, you will see the message “Registration request submitted successfully.” You will receive code activation links and activation links to the contact information you provided during registration.
Registration is completed properly once you have activated your account and logged in to TRACES.
Steps to can log in to your TRACES account.

How to reset your password on your TRACES account
Step 1: Go to https://contents.tdscpc.gov.in/. You will find the third option under Login under the left-hand panel by clicking continue on the pop-up screen. Click on Deductor. Click on Deductor.

You can edit the mobile number that the OTP will be sent to in steps 1 and step 2. In step 4, you must enter the correct OTP to change the password. A notification of the changed password will also be sent to the email address you registered with.
